An increasingly rare find, this lovely old Alabama-Coushatta lidded basket is a perfect example of the craftsmanship and artistic legacy of the Alabama-Coushatta people of the East Texas reserve. Hand-made in the "old-way" this classic old lidded basket is a perfect example of the type of basketry the Alabama-Coushatta were famous for in the middle part of the 20th century. 

Made entirely of fallen pine needles gathered from the reservation in East Texas this lidded basket features the classic weave pattern Alabama-Coushatta weavers were famous for.

This lovely old lidded basket measures approximately 4 inches tall x 7 inches wide. The maker/creator is unknown
