"Mother Spider says Hello!"...
Many legends of the spider as a teacher and leader are present throughout Native American folklore. According to some Navajo elders, Mother spider is a teacher who taught many of the first Navajo how to weave. They maintain that Mother spider brought knowledge and teachings from the creator to the people. Many believe Mother spider led the early People to a better life through wisdom and craft. Some Native American historians will say the modern Native American crafted basket we know today is an inspiration of Mother spiders work.
This lovey vintage bracelet cuff was handcrafted by Navajo artists in the 1970's / 1980's. Handmade in solid sterling silver then embellished with natural gem-grade turquoise this spider effigy cuff bracelet has great energy and a wonderful character.
