Bone and feathers have played an important part in everyday life, ceremonies, and adornment for generations of Plains Indians. Lonny and Michelle have combined these two mediums to create the finest bone feather jewelry available. Having moved from the mountains of Colorado they are now settled in the deserts of Arizona. Still crafting to the highest quality, every feather is painstakingly carved and painted in great detail using only the finest buffalo bone materials. Lonny Cloud, a member of the United Lumbee Nation of North Carolina and America, and Michelle, a member of the Pine Ridge Oglala Lakota Nation, have been creating bone feather jewelry since 1986. These earrings hang a length of approx. 2 1/2 inches including the hook. Earring hooks can be switched to posts if desired.
